چکیده

Sida acuta is a shrub indigenous to pantropical regions. belongs the mallow family, Malvaceae. The plant widely used for its various pharmacological properties. Therefore, in current study antifungal activity leaf, stem and root extracts of were carried out. Ethanol (50%) was successively extraction active principles from dried powdered leaves, root. screening done with two pathogens viz. Claviceps purpurea MTCC 2334 Macrophemina phaseolina 10576 as test microorganisms. In agar-well diffusion assay, highest zone inhibition diameters recorded leaf ethanol S. acuta. Among extracts, has shown better inhibitory against organisms followed by Both microorganisms markedly affected all three under study. Findings this study, therefore, showed that parts acuta, particularly possessed property, hence which can be development fungicide.
